I've had some requests for photos of The Looney. I wanted to wait and post pic's when I had all the things I'm working on done (wall hanging, bunting, etc.) But we all know that if I wait for that day they might never get posted!
Last weekend I did manage to finish some hoop art, and I got the borders on the wall hanging. So, I am making progress.
I got this pattern from Sewtropolis in South Minneapolis. The pattern is by Sublime Stitching. I love her modern quirky patterns. This one is called Camp Out. The bunting I'm making is from the same pattern pack.
That is the wall hanging with it's borders. I need to baste it, quilt it, bind it and hang it. The finished size is about 3ftx3ft.
So here she is (insert drum roll.....) The Looney.
The bunting will go across that back wall
The wall hanging will go above the bench on the back wall. The bathroom is behind the little door. Toilet and shower!
The dinette area turns into a queen size bed. The table lowers and cushions slide over it
Hard to believe you can cram all the comforts of home into 18ft of space. She is fully equipped with heat, a/c, hot and cold water, TV and DVD player, microwave and stove top (it's a double hot plate that you can stow in the cabinet below), toilet and shower. I'm excited to use the awning this summer. There are electrical outlets outside so I can string lights along the awning.
So that is The Looney. I love her! My daughter and I will be taking her on a nine day journey around Lake Superior in July. Stay tuned for posts about our trip!
